Thrillers

A movie thriller is a very broad genre that contains many sub categories. thrillers are made to excite and thriller the viewer. thrillers often contain plot twist to always keep the viewer guessing on what they think is gong to happen, they are suspenseful, dramatic and use a lot of foreshadowing to keep the viewers suspicions high.

Task
we research several different opening scene for thrillers. this was to gain on an understanding of what opening sequences should be like and how they differ from trailers. we looked at the first minutes of these thrillers including the title sequence to see how they are shot and what techniques go into the editing and production of them. We analysed  thrillers so when it came to us making our thriller opening scene we could use the methods and techniques we thought were effective. It also made us aware of what to avoid doing and using when filming and editing for our thriller.
